Drone flying a Marry me banner above the trees for a TV drama scene

On-screen & prop drones

When the drone is part of the story

Picture drones, props and stunts for TV, film and advertising. Flown to the script, safe around cast and crew, from Cornwall and across the UK.

In shot, on cue

Sometimes the drone isn't filming the scene, it's in it. We fly drones on camera as part of the action, hitting marks and timings like any other performer, with the actors and crew close by.

How it works

1

The script

Tell us what the drone needs to do in the scene, and what it carries.

2

Test and rehearse

We rig the prop, test it, and rehearse the move with your director and 1st AD.

3

Paperwork

A risk assessment, flight plan and permissions for every job. How we keep it safe.

4

On the day

On-site checks, a crew briefing, then we fly it on cue, take after take.

Good to know

Can the drone fly near the actors? Yes. We plan the distances and the move in the risk assessment, rehearse it, and brief cast and crew before we fly.

What can it carry? Anything from a small USB drive to a large box. Size and weight decide which drone we use, so send us details of the prop and we'll tell you what's possible.

Can it drop or release the object? Releasing something in flight needs extra permission. Many scenes work by flying the object in and landing or handing it over. Tell us what the script needs and we'll advise.

Can you brand the drone? Yes. We can put your logo and colours on the aircraft and the prop.

Can you film it as well? Yes. We can film drone to drone with a second aircraft, or work alongside your camera team.

How much does it cost? Every scene is different, so we quote each one. Tell us the scene, the location and the dates.

Where do you work? We're based in Cornwall and work across the UK.
