It's not just about simple visuals. Recent work includes an immersive POV as Santa for the BBC's Beyond Paradise Christmas special. FPV also gives a feeling of falling that no other camera can: for the BBC's Towards Zero, where the lead character sees his own death in his dreams, we flew our 7″ Blackmagic FPV in vertical dives down cliffs towards the sea.

All rates are starting prices for a crewed day, ex VAT. Crew depends on the job: usually one pilot on the Avata 2 and 5″, a pilot and spotter on the bigger set-ups. Avata 2 half day for property shoots from £475.

Indoors, outdoors, always planned
Outdoors, we fly under our CAA Operational Authorisation, with airspace checks, landowner permission and a risk assessment for every job.
Ducted drones for close work
Our 5″ and 7″ FPV drones also fly in ducted bodies, with guards around the props. When a shot goes indoors or close to actors and models, that makes it far safer.
Indoor flights and events
Flights inside an enclosed building sit outside the CAA's drone rules, so there's no CAA framework to lean on. We write a specialist RAMS for every indoor job, covering the venue, the people, the route and the drone.
Rehearsed where it counts
For the complex shots, like one-shot flythroughs and close passes, we walk the route and rehearse with the team before flying it at speed.
Good to know
Which FPV drone do I need? It comes down to the camera. An Avata 2 or 5″ for agile, lightweight shots; the 7″ or cinelifter when the footage has to cut with cinema cameras; the gimbal FPV when you want FPV movement with a steady frame. Tell us the shot and we'll advise.
Can you fly indoors or close to people? Yes. The Avata 2 and our ducted 5″ and 7″ drones have guarded props, so they can work inside venues, warehouses and event spaces and close to actors and models. Every indoor job is planned with a specialist RAMS.
Do you supply the crew? Yes. Every rate includes the pilot, and the bigger set-ups include a spotter. A camera operator or focus puller can be added where the shot needs one.
Can we hire an FPV drone? The DJI Avata 2 is available to hire, subject to approval. The larger FPV drones only go out with our crew.
