Timelapse filming in Cornwall and the UK

Tim Boydell is a Cornwall-based timelapse cinematographer who has built and shot his own timelapse rigs since he started filmmaking. We shoot timelapse for commercials, TV, brands and events across Cornwall, Devon, the UK and abroad, from static shots to programmed motion control moves, in RAW, HDR or JPEG. Our timelapse sliders are also available to hire.

Timelapse is where it started

When Tim started filmmaking, timelapse was his favourite thing to shoot, so he built his own rigs to do it. Today we run two motion control timelapse sliders, each with a two-axis head, that travel a programmed path over a set distance while the camera shoots, adding slow, precise movement to every timelapse.

On the shoot

Set, programmed and left to run

Each slider is set up on a planned path and distance, then runs the move while the camera shoots, for minutes or hours.

  • Pan, tilt and slide combined in one programmed move
  • The same move can be repeated, for day-to-night or matching passes
  • Interval and exposure set for the light, from midday to the night sky
